The Indian Coast Guard, or ICG for short, is a law enforcement organisation and armed force of the Government of India that operates throughout the nation's territorial marine areas. It controls search and rescue activities and maintains safety and security along the coast.

An Indian citizen has the tremendous distinction of being able to participate in ICG. To the joy of many, ICG has announced openings for the positions of Yantrik, Navik (General Duty), and Navik (Domestic Branch). There are four stages in the selection process.
