Mesh WiFi systems and WiFi extenders both improve wireless coverage, but they operate in different ways. Mesh WiFi utilizes multiple nodes that talk to each other to create one seamless network throughout your home. This ensures consistent speeds and smooth roaming between rooms. In contrast, WiFi extenders rebroadcast your existing signal to cover dead zones, but they can lower speed and create separate networks. For larger homes or places with many connected devices, mesh systems generally provide better performance. Extenders are more affordable and work well for smaller spaces with limited coverage issues.
