Solution 1: Remove and reinstall the printer driver On your Windows computer, click the Start menu available at the bottom-left corner of the screen. Type ‘control panel’ in the search panel and hit the Enter key. From the search result, double-click the Control Panel app. Click on Devices and Printers, and then when you see the devices listed, delete the printer driver that is being detected as an unknown device. Alternately, you can also run the printer driver uninstaller tool to remove the driver installed on your computer. After removing the printer driver, restart your computer and reinstall the latest version of the printer driver using the Windows built-in printer driver or by downloading the driver package from your printer’s official site.
