A static IP address is a fixed internet address given to a device that does not change. It allows for consistent identification on a network, making it great for hosting websites, remote access, and business applications. Unlike dynamic IPs, which change automatically, a static IP is set up manually or permanently assigned by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). It connects a specific device to a constant IP, so data requests always go to the same place. This creates stable connections, simplifies communication between devices, and ensures reliable access to services like servers, security systems, and cloud-based tools.
