The shape of the Earth Wolf The ground wolf is a mammal that inhabits eastern and southern Africa. It belongs to the hyena family, but unlike many carnivorous relatives in the system, it eats insects, especially termites. The ground wolf can eat about 250,000 termites during one night using its long, sticky tongue.
