Here’s a quick overview of the qualifications and requirements for the IAS exam: You should have completed the 12th standard in any of the available streams, be it Arts, Science, or Commerce. You also need to graduate from a recognised university. While there is no specific subject requirement, a major in Sociology, Political Science, History, or Psychology would be beneficial to the UPSC syllabus. For the age criteria, you must be 21 to 32 years old as of August 1st of the year of examination.
