K9 Nose Work Nose work is a dog sport of tracking different scents that you can do for fun or even compete. You can also take this skill further and teach a dog to track people, other animals or objects. In this sport, the dog is the centre of the training and it is always trained at the dog’s individual pace, the dog is not pushed to perform. The same goes for the ones that love it, dogs that are frantic with enthusiasm are allowed to be themselves. The handler’s job is to follow the dog and let them work. This is quite unusual, often in dog sports, it’s the human that is in charge and directs the dog to achieve the desired outcome.
