He created a World record with a score of 242.3 points. he won a gold medal in the 2018 ISSF World Cup and the 2017 Commonwealth Shooting Championships. Shahzar Rizvi won the silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol event in the second leg of the ISSF World Cup Rifle/pistol/shotgun at Changwon International Shooting Range in South Korea, which was also India's first medal in that tournament.
